Where Akaro processes protected health information (PHI) on behalf of a healthcare practice, it does so as a business associate under HIPAA and pursuant to a Business Associate Agreement (BAA). That clinical data is governed by the BAA and applicable service agreements, and used only as permitted by those agreements and applicable law.

We retain information for as long as necessary to provide the service, meet contractual commitments, and satisfy legal requirements. You may submit requests to delete your account or specific information, subject to applicable law and our contractual obligations to practices.
